NOWARENT – Terms & Conditions
1. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
NOWARENT, operated by Travel Agency NOWARENT, Ivana Gundulića 6a, Rovinj- VAT ID: HR03084109638 (“Agency”), manages private apartments, holiday homes, and other tourist services in accordance with Croatian law.
These Terms apply to all bookings made through the Agency for accommodations whose owners have an active commercial agreement with the Agency.
By confirming a booking, guests acknowledge and accept these Terms.
2. BOOKING & PAYMENT
- Bookings may only be made by persons 18 years or older.
- A lead guest must make the booking on behalf of their entire group and is solely responsible for all communication and payments.
- A booking is confirmed when the guest receives an official voucher/invoice from the Agency after payment (if applicable), or when both sides confirm the booking in writing when no advance payment is required.
- The lead guest is responsible for ensuring that all group members agree to the booking terms. The Agency cannot be held responsible for internal agreements within the group.
Payment Methods
Payments may be made:
- via the Agency’s online system (all transaction fees are borne by the cardholder)
- via bank transfer
- in cash in Croatian kuna at the Agency office or directly to the property owner (if applicable)
Important: For reservations exceeding €3,000, payment must be made via bank transfer. Online card payments and cash are not permitted for bookings above this amount.
Payment Policy
To confirm a booking:
- 20% of the total price is due at the time of booking
- 80% of the total price must be paid at least 30 days before arrival
Any alternative payment arrangements must be agreed upon in writing. The Agency reserves the right to decline any booking without stating a reason.
3. CONTRACT
A binding tourist contract is established between the lead guest and the Agency once a booking is confirmed.
Property information is provided by property owners. While the Agency strives for accuracy, it cannot guarantee that all details are error-free. The guest agrees not to hold the Agency responsible for any issues arising from inaccurate property descriptions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Croatia. All disputes fall under Croatian court jurisdiction.
4. SECURITY DEPOSIT
Some properties require a security deposit, payable directly to the property owner or Host upon arrival.
If the guest refuses to pay the deposit, the owner or the Host may deny entry without refund.
Deposits are refunded at check-out, provided no damage has occurred.
5. BOOKING MODIFICATIONS
Any modification—change of dates, number of guests, or property—must be requested through the Agency.
The Agency will assist whenever possible but is not obligated to accept every request.
6. CANCELLATIONS
Payment Schedule
- 20% deposit at booking
- Remaining 80% due at least 30 days before arrival
Cancellation Policy: Holiday Homes & Villas
- Cancel 30+ days before arrival: The 20% deposit is not refundable.
- Cancel within 30 days or no-show: 100% of the total price is non-refundable.
Cancellation Policy: Apartments & Rooms
- Cancel 30+ days before arrival: Full refund (100%).
- Cancel within 30 days or no-show: 100% of the total price is non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted through partner portals, email, or fax.
Only cancellations by the lead guest will be accepted.
7. MODIFICATIONS OR CANCELLATIONS BY THE AGENCY
If the Agency must cancel or modify a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, it will offer comparable or better alternative accommodation.
If no suitable alternative is available or accepted, all payments made will be fully refunded.
8. COMPLAINTS
Complaints must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the issue arising at rent(at)nowarent.com.
Failure to report problems while still at the property may result in the complaint being rejected.
The Agency will act promptly to help resolve any valid concerns.
9. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
- Check-in and check-out times are indicated on the booking voucher.
- Guests should inform the Agency in advance of their arrival time.
- Non-standard times may apply if agreed upon in advance.
10. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Guests are responsible for ensuring they possess valid travel documents (passports, visas, driving licenses, vehicle insurance, etc.). The Agency is not responsible for issues arising from missing travel arrangements such as flights, transfers, or car hire.
11. GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Guests must keep the property and its contents in good condition. Any damage, breakage, or loss is the responsibility of the guest. Extra cleaning may be charged if the property is left excessively dirty.
12. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
The number of guests must not exceed the number agreed upon at booking.
If exceeded, the owner may terminate the rental without refund.
13. ACCESS
The property owner or representative may access the property if necessary for maintenance or inspections.
14. BEHAVIOR
The lead guest is responsible for the behavior of the entire party.
Improper behavior, violation of property rules, or breach of Croatian law may result in eviction without refund.
15. ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Requests for additional services must be submitted at least 28 days before arrival, or within 24 hours for late bookings.
Additional services are paid directly to the service provider or property owner unless otherwise stated.
16. LINEN AND TOWELS
Bed linen and towels are included.
17. SWIMMING POOLS
Pool use is permitted only if included in the booking.
Pools may not be available year-round.
Pool heating may incur extra charges.
18. SOCIAL EVENTS
Events such as weddings, parties, or gatherings must be approved in advance by the Agency.
Additional fees or higher security deposits may apply.
19. SECURITY & VALUABLES
Guests store valuables at their own risk.
Neither the Agency nor the property owner is liable for theft or loss.
Leaving the property early due to a burglary does not entitle the guest to a refund.
20. PROPERTY INFORMATION
Photos and descriptions are for illustration and may vary.
Owners may make necessary changes to furnishings, equipment, or facilities without prior notice.
If a significant change occurs before arrival, the Agency will inform the guest when possible.
21. PETS
Pets are only allowed if marked in the property description and approved in advance.
The owner may charge extra fees or request a higher deposit.
If pets are not permitted and the guest arrives with one, the owner may refuse entry without refund.
22. ENVIRONMENT
Rural areas may include insects, animals, and typical environmental elements such as farms or local activities.
23. LIABILITY
The Agency and property owners are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or deaths occurring at the property.
They are also not liable for force majeure events such as natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, or utility outages.
Mechanical failures (pumps, boilers, pool systems) and public utility failures (water, gas, electricity) are beyond the Agency’s responsibility.
Refunds, if applicable, are limited to unused rental days minus a €50 administrative fee.
